Read my posts again, Mark. The word 'stupid' was not present.

I said this:

Nesta and Cannavaro ARE the best defenders ever. And if you can't accept that there is something desperately lacking in your way of reading the game.

Besides we all know the real reason Mark83 is spending so much energy on questioning my posts. Ever since I defended FC Barcelona and what this club did for my beloved sport he has been like this.

But if you do want me to say something to you mark, here it is:

You have a lack of class.
I´ll be the class one in this discussion and ignore your posts from now on.

Dude, you completely offended me. Did you expect me to accept that?

Your post even sparked a reaction from Tony who did a good job telling the forum to cool down. And you're one of those who should cool their jets.

Mark accused me of calling my fellow Juventini stupid which was a blatant lie. I felt strongly that I needed to clear my name. On top of that I replied to him he that he is showing a lack of class sometimes.

Now I said the truth.

Bozi, you tell me what conclusion would you come with when you read this (and he is calling YOU stubborn):

Watch the WC again and watch the manner Cannavaro played in his two season in Juventus.

Watch Nesta for Lazio and his years in Milan except this season.

Anyone with the least bit of intelligence can see that both Cannavaro and Nesta are on level with Ronaldo in Barcelona, Maradona, etc.

No doubt and no discussion. :eyebrows:
I don't think the problem is watching the old stars or not. To me it seems you would rather glorify Gentile than Nesta solely because he played in a time of football that you enjoy more.

Nesta and Cannavaro ARE the best defenders ever. And if you can't accept that there is something desperately lacking in your way of reading the game.
Let him answer for himself, Mark. ;)

Nesta and Cannavaro are the best. Running around that fact means you have failed to see what is there to be seen. And that is the supreme quality of those players which is only found in the true mega stars like Maradona and the rest of that gang.
It is an opinion and a fact because the opinion holds truth in it.
I'm sorry but I cannot agree with something that is not true. And if you don't believe me you can believe the best football expert we have in Denmark - Morten Bruun.

In the build up for the WC final in Germany last summer he said that Cannavaro's value on a football pitch is not inferior to that of Ronaldinho's.

I did see Platini play and I realised that he was on level with Maradona. So, I included him in my all time classic Juventus team.

As much as you feel there is no need for you to debate with me on this issue and think that you are right because you saw all these players like Tardelli and Gentile you simply cannot win an argument against the common sense that Nesta and Cannavaro are on level with the greats of this game.

Your stubborness can only be cured with an ounce of enlightment on your part. And that requires accepting certain truths about the game you refuse to see.

Ayala is getting a bit long in the tooth to be called the best defender in the world. Definitely in the running a few years ago though.
