Governor Tung was an idiot, hell I would rather want Arnold as a governor than him, at least Arnold listens to his advisors or have advisors who are smart. And there is no fear or uncertainity with political changes in HK, I mean you would never see the people's liberation army marching down the street and confiscating every households in sight. The biggest changes would be subtle and not be noticeable through the common eyes. You will only feel the change if you are actively outspoken or have a strong influence through business or poltics.
Sorry, to be honest, I don't like Singapore at all. I feel kinda strange how you would worry the government of HK when you have super big brother looking over you in Singapore. And I hate HK weather, so Singapore would be absolute hell for me. Just personal preference. Nothing against the city, just personal opinion.
I like to know how HK is doing at the moment becos I may plan to study there after my army, which is important. After I hear that there r no improvements happening, maybe not. Which is y I kept in touch with my relatives in HK. No new plans yet so far.
About the big brother thing, well I recall an event in Singapore in which it is rather laughable. 1 day there were 4 ppl demonstrating peacefully (no armed weapons) outside a government building, and 40 armed officers, yes ARMED officers have to come out to restore peace. They even confiscated their shirts and objects such as boards and banners and such. Sure the governemnt does protect Singaporeans, but the negative side is that people love to complain so much and not say out their opinions for the government to change. One wrong sentence that is said to the government would land u in jail. No I'm not lying. To conclude, everything is run by only 1 government party.
No need for the apologies though, I don't expect every1 to bear the swelthering weather, which is the most possible reason y u dislike Singapore. 1 good thing is that u can show off ur muscles by wearing sleeveless shirt. After all it is personal preference.
