Alan Partridge is one of the best ever.

Would Father Ted be classed as British? Maybe not. But that is fantastic.

All the Blackadders of course, the Office, Rock Profile (Lucas and Walliams before they turned shite with Little Britain), Monty Python, Allo Allo, and the granddaddy of them all - Dad's Army.

Oh yeah, and League of Gentlemen. There's bound to be loads I've missed though.

Most overrated - Fawlty Towers.

Little Britain is slightly freaky.
