Mauro Bergonzi will preside over Sunday lunchtime’s Serie A clash between Chievo and Juventus at the Stadio Bentegodi.
The Genoa-born official will take charge of his first Bianconeri game of the season, having overseen three fixtures last year.
Juventus enjoyed a perfect record under his stewardship in the 2011/12 campaign, beating Lecce, Fiorentina and Roma without conceding a single goal.
From the total of 15 games overseen by Bergonzi, the Bianconeri have won ten, drawn three and lost two. He has already officiated a previous encounter with Chievo at the Bentegodi, with Quagliarella on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw on 19 December 2010.
Bergonzi will be assisted in Verona by Giorgio Niccolai and Massimiliano Grilli. Francesco De Luca has been named as the fourth official.
