:D I thought something had already been cooked when you closed the LIVE thread
That would be my dinner but I'm going OT.

Marotta confirmed the meeting with Blanc. Said he'll take some time to think about it since he's close to Samp. Very flattered by the offer.

I think he'll join us. That's just to calm things down over at Samp.

Will it happen soon? I hope so, Blanc needs to focus on his main strenghts, even if he hasnt done too badly at the footballing side (basically been running our club for 3 years now, ze boss of Secco and Gigli instead of partners), he is still quite new to football. We need a decisive and competent footballing man dealing with things.

bah fuck Samp! so :xfinger: the Triade has been expanded...what is that, a Quadrade?
The spirit of L'Avoccato is exorcising Cobolli Giggle off our backs. So it will be a trio prolly, with someone like Lapo being the president, face out, but with little power (or better, Bettega, and with lots of responsbilities).

Meh, we should have approached him couple of months ago and we prolly woudl have gotten him, June is bit too late, when things are already in motion, and it would be like he is abandoning Samp in the middle of everything that needs to be done.

    Marotta turns down Juve job
    Friday 5 June, 2009
Sampdoria general manager Beppe Marotta has said he is “flattered” by the offer from Juventus, but has not joined their staff.

He met with general manager Jean-Claude Blanc yesterday and was proposed a five-year contract as director general.

An announcement was expected this evening, along with Ciro Ferrara’s two-year contract to remain as Coach, but instead Marotta put the brakes on.

“I am flattered by the interest from Juventus, but at the moment I remain a Sampdoria director,” he told Sky Italia.

“In the transfer market for directors it is much the same as for players, as that which does not happen today could well happen tomorrow.

“I am very tied to Sampdoria and the Garrone family.”

It was hoped bringing Marotta in could increase Juve’s competitiveness on the transfer market, as they currently do not have someone in that role.

Blanc effectively does the job of both general manager and general director, leaving most transfer dealings to director of sport Alessio Secco.

Juventus have been without a director general since Luciano Moggi resigned in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal.

That report doesn't really say much.

There is no agreement right now, but he certainly doesn't rule out the move.

He would have added some much needed experience too our management. I don't know how good he actually is though...but it probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to bring him in. So far this summer Blanc and Secco are on the right track though.

that sentence leaves a lot of things unaswered and possible
he said he is close to the garrone family but he hasnt ruled out anything yet
