This guy's right, Andy.
That's exactly why i mentioned your swimming team in such context. You keep repeating how China's cheating and your main argument is the childish face of their gymnastics.
Using your logic i have all the rights to claim that the US swimmers were cheating by using illegal substances. After all, it's really unbelievable for someone to swim so fast and break all the records. And we're not talking about Phelps only, but many other swimmers. It's suspicious, he ?

To sum up, i don't think the US swimming team was cheating and i don't watch gymnastics so i have no idea what was going on there. But you're accusing them for cheating WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE and you don't like it when someone accuses your sportists for doing the same.
Also, since you're American and your country is second placed and losing to China......this all sounds like sour grapes to me.

No hard feelings.
No, it's not only based on their faces Alen. I don't have anything against Chinese athletes. I also am not American and I do not care which country would win the most gold medals but the case is indeed fishy. Aside from the faces, there are two more things: First, it's difficult to believe the way they've improved their Gymnastics within 4 years (it also could because of the referees favoring the host). Second, AFAIK on the website of the Chengdu Sports Bureau, there's a file which shows He Kexin as being born in the 1st of January, 1994. (the file had been published in January of 2006)

In its report Nov. 3, Xinhua identified He as one of "10 big new stars" who made a splash at China's Cities Games. It gave her age as 13 and reported that she beat Yang Yilin on the uneven bars at those games. In the final, "this little girl" pulled off a difficult release move on the bars known as the Li Na, named for another Chinese gymnast, Xinhua said in the report, which appeared on one of its websites, www.hb.xinhuanet.com

The Associated Press found the Xinhua report on the site Thursday morning and saved a copy of the page. Later that afternoon, the website was still working but the page was no longer accessible. Sports editors at the state-run news agency would not comment for publication.

Sure it cannot prove anything but you always can have your doubts and I tell you, it's completely different from the Phelps and his teammates case. I know we cannot jump to conclusions before we find the proof. I'm watching Phelps and Bolt and I just say God! they don't belong to this planet but their fascinating power and speed doesn't make me dubious. I really enjoyed watching He on the uneven bars as well but as an impartial fan of the sport in general, I'm too dubious about her age.

Yes, it's too dubious. Then again, i won't be surprised if they cheated because i've seen many olympics and the hosts always tried to gain an unfair advantage in order to win as many medals possible.

But we mustn't ignore the fact that all these news about cheating and all the "proof", or claiming they have the proof copied from a Chinesse source, come from the US media, without an exception. The same egocentric media that puts China second in the medals table and doctors the tables to save face and have USA as the winner of the olympics. The same country that clearly ignored countless drug offenses by its athletes in the past, Flo Jo, Jones, Gatlin, etc.
The same country that will never accept being second and will try everything to prove that they were the best.

I've read some Serbian papers and you can find similar stuff regarding the Phelps-Čavić duel. If you watched the men's 100 metre butterfly final and if you use the Serbian media as your only source, i guarantee you that you'll think how it was fixed for Phelps to win that gold.

Somehow people forgot the Olympic moto and a defeat is now unacceptable. Even if everything is clean, there will always be someone who'll look for proves that there was cheating involved.

That was my largest concern with the goings on of this thread. It's the Olympics. It isn't supposed to matter how many golds or silvers you get. It's supposed to be about the competition and goodwill. Countries exceeding boundaries, people helping people. Instead it's a competition to see who is better in events no one cares about. Nationalism at its worst.

Well done Alen for takings stand against USA absurd posturing and laughable sour grapes.

The USA sporting scene has been drug riddled for decades: going back to the Cold War.

Damn it, Armstrong is making a comeback.

But every single time a swimmer dives into the pool, they're tested for performance enhancing substances. That's where your written argument fails, Alen. It's different from a government issued piece of paper.

Unless China has developed a futuristic potion to keep people from noticeable age changes, I don't buy it.

It's also important to note that the Olympic pool in Beijing is state of the art, with features to provide maximum speed to the swimmers, such as the lane dividers swallowing up the wake from other competitors. The pool was designed for record breakers.

:howler:

England runner named "Rooney" in the 4x400m relay race started to taunt the rest of the field because he was in first, shaking his stick while looking back to the Jamaican runner. This fucker had the nerve to taunt somebody in just a qualification race. :lol2:

Typical of a dumb twat named Rooney. Bunch of wankers. :pado:
