We really are in desperate need in wide/fast wingers in our squad to give us more balance. At times we look too predictable in our play, and against Milan last weekend was a prime example. Joaquin would be an excellent buy. Just need a winger, Cristiano ronaldo? just another thought. Vicente?

vicente would be excellent.
how much would he cost?
considering that benitez was plotting to get him at gaypool means that he probably wont be TOO expensive.
he'd be a brilliant neddy replacement.

More then we can afford. Joaquin would be a better choice, since he plays at a smaller club he will cost much less.

Valencia is really good at keeing their players, I'm quite surprised that all of their star players like Ayala, Marchena, Baraja, Albelda, Vicente and Aimar ALL stayed after the terrible last season.

actually,i belive joaquin would cost more because he means to real batis a LOT more than what vicente means to valencia.

what has to be decided first is what capello will do after nedved retires. will he want to buy a natural left winger to replace him and stick with the 4-4-2 or will he opt for playing a mutu or even a cassano behind the forwards in a playmaker role, eliminating the left winger role (zambro or chiellini to play the whole left wing)

1. there is no need for jaoquin unless camo wants to leave for some unknown reason.

2. i think back up for central midfield and central defence should be looked at first.

Vicente sounds like a great name but what is the point of having mutu on bench or being linked to cassano. zlatan and trez are set now, so it only leaves one position for 2 players.

Barzagli is a good young defender, but Kompany is better and i think moggi should look at young star defenders instead of maybes.

Yes vicente is very good and im kinda surprised the big clubs arent talking about him like Joaquin.

Joaquin is a natural winger, much different from Camo who IMO plays better near the center of the field, like a AMC.

Joaquin would add much needed width for our style of play. Trez would be very delighted.

Capello is a big fan of the 3-4-1-2 as he showed in Roma.

A midfield consisting of

Joaquín - Emerson - Vieira - Zambrotta

Mutu/Camo

Would be rather excellent, don't you think? Looks a lot like the Roma formation where he had two defensive midfieldes, Cafù on the right and Candela (right footed, just like Zambrotta) on the left, with Totti behind the strikers.

I am a fan of this formation also, the 3-4-1-2 was the formation I alwasy used in CM3 :D

bu no seriusly, its a balance formation where one can attack through the middle or wings and rotate the players around the field to compensate for either approach.

if he is to play with 3 centre backs, then i dont see joaquiun joining anytime soon and i suppose camoranesi will lose his place in the team. Zambrotta can play the whole wing and i believe chiellini will be able to also once he gets more games under his belt.

it only works well when your wingers can both attack and defend well.

Axlrose85, we are away that vicente is a natural left winger, but thats why i questioned what the intentions were of capello. if it is a direct replacement keeping the current tactics and formations, then Vicente is the man to get. he is an amazing left winger.

but if capello wants to start trying a playmaker behind the forwards, then i dont see a purpose in joaquin or vicente joining because the team wont utilise them correctly.
