I'm with the skeptics here. Barca haven't done enough to convince me that they're world beaters. Leverkusen smacked Real Madrid 3-0 too, but I don't see them winning the Champions League. They've got great strength in attack, but that defensive line could well be their undoing in Europe

I highly disgaree with that statement. Barcelona are reckless when it comes to defending, and love to keep possesion, throwing the wingbacks down the flanks at all costs. One bad touch by Belletti would leave Barca in trouble. But a team who has a solid defense, while having great counter-attacking capabilities, can cause Barca a lot of problems. Milan did not look all that convincing, and Ancelloti's tactics were completely stupid (never sit back against Barca), but on aggregate they still would have progressed. Clubs such as Milan, Chelsea, Valencia, and Juventus are teams which could cause Barca trouble. Puyol is a great defender and all, but he is no superman; Oleguer and him cannot always fend for themselves against wave after wave of counterattacks. This Barcelona is not much better than the Real Madrid of 2003 which we beat 4-3.
i agree,IMO a team without a solid defence cant win the CL,i mean look at Arsenal's record in the CL,look at what happened to Man Utd after Ferdinand got banned, look at Juve last season a lot of examples prove that.IMO a team like Chelsea who has one of the strongest defences in europe this season as well as the ability to score has a much bigger chance than Barca,so do Juve and Milan.

I have to say they disappointed me when playing AC Milan as well. It almost looked like Milan let them win. But still, theoretically speaking, Barcelona should win the Champions League.

Your underetimating Juventus my friend. Imo Juve's midfield is much more solid which will run the game. Barca would be the team in trouble if they face Juve.
if we cant run a game against lecce, we'll be a walkover for them.

Theoretically speaking, David Beckham is the best right midfielder in the world.

I could read that as if you were speaking ironically or as if you were being serious and neither way it would make any sense. Keep up the good work, Andy!

Lecce never had the control over Juve, except for the last couple of minutes which were dealt with and not to mention the pitch was in a terrible condition.

I agree, Barca throw their wing backs ahead too far. If a team has any fast forwards, they are sure to wreak havoc on a fast break.

You are right BUT they are having two excellent centerbacks...Puyol and Oleguer

Plus Marquez will return to the defence when Edmilson gets back

Pity Juve don't have any (reliable) fast forwards
