Well this is just unbelievable. Ferguson and Ronaldo are basically asking for the Ballon d'or to be handed to them! I say this is disgraceful. The award has become like some bling-bling decoration to parade around. I say give it to mature players damn it. Like Del Piero. Even Buffon I think is too young to get it. I mean he's had a great career and all but can still become better. The award I think should be handed to good players who have showed their worth after working hard many seasons and who at the time of receipt are an example for younger players. This C. Ronaldo thing has talent but no manners. Shame.

Welcome...

But this award is given for the performances of the last year only...!

:disagree: he won the Bitch D'Or already after the Euro 2004 final, you can't win it again...No wait, in Ronaldo's case, yes you can

Stop being biased and see it objectively, and only judge the performances of last year and nothing else, its criminal to give it to anyone but Ronaldo.

The winner is by far the most clear in a long while. But when it comes to those that come after, in terms of Ale, I think its extremely bizzare that Ale is not even in 30 man short list. Too much CL biased stuff, to not consider the topscorer in a top league. In general, quite biased against Serie A, left out many quality players, chose only 3 of them, for example Cambiasso, De Rossi and many many others.

Thats an obvious jesting remark probably.

And yeah, Kaka winning last year, even if he was individually the best at his best, wasnt consistently the best, it showed you only needed to be great at the vital CL playoff games to win. C.Ronaldo and Totti were both way better then him consistently in the league season, they were great, while he was average with Milan.

:agree: it's definitely his time in the coming years...but a defender winning it is really difficult, you would have to have a Cannavaro-level WC again
