Encouraging that Di Lorenzo only player over 30 on squad. Dimarco being 26 and rest of squad only 25 and under. Still that one true go-to striker is only missing piece. Maldini is a big guy who had a clever pass leading to a goal coming in for first cap. Don't know his upside potential?

Few changes to the previous squad. Some new faces like Maldini and Comuzzo, with Rovella making his comeback. So surprised to not see Locatelli in the team.

Calafiori and a couple of other are still injured.

Based on his selection Spalletti leaves almost no room for doubt in his preferred lineup, with only the second striker position really open.

Donnarumma, Bastoni, Buongiorno, Di Lorenzo, Dimarco, Tonali, Ricci, Barella, Cambiaso, X, Retegui

i liked him a lot before he moved to fiorentina. as a cabal replacement i wouldn't be opposed to having him

then again it's fiorentina
