hungary in pot 1 :baus:

btw the top 2 teams from each group will qualify. i don't see italy missing out this time, especially not if scamacca keeps developing and raspadori won't regress. just drop immobile, cristante and bonucci

Pafundi straight to the main squad, at least to train. Some interesting choices.

I really like Mancinis attitude and style with this Azzzurri. He dont give a fuck. He called up 19 year old Zaniolo before he had a single game in senior football. Just a youth reserve player.

And 18 year old Gnonto called up from obscurity.

And now he outdoes himself by calling up a 16 year old primavera player who is considered a mega talent.

Midfield and attack is fairly young. Its mainly just the defence who is bit older still, with bonucci, acerbi, Emerson and Toloi.

Cristcunte, Plumberson, Bumucci, and Acerbic should not be anywhere near the squad come tournament time.

I only agree on Cristante, there's plenty of midfield options to sideline him for.

But the older defenders are still needed because there aren't that many ready young options.

1-3 victory in Albania, 3rd in a row after England and Hungary.

It was a good win yet Albania had many chances from counters. Such an experimental lineup and system left gaps when pushing so high. Many players tried and everyone mostly looked great with some lack of chemistry due to so many debuts.

Bastoni, Bonucci, Scalvini was a back 3 extremely comfortable with the ball. Scalvini was really involved in the game. Di Lorenzo and Dimarco thrived.

In midfield it was Verratti's show. It was strange because we played a 343 so there were only 2 midfielders when that is our biggest strength. The first partner was Tonali, then Ricci for the second half. Both fine if unspectacular.

Grifo, Raspadori, Zaniolo worked well upfront. They combined, created and finished. Could have had more goals. Grifo should be confident after the match.

Fagioli debuted but not much to say. Gnonto came in and again he really seems to understand Mancini's team, nothing big but he fits very well. Pafundi on the other hand was very impressive, turned what should have been a cameo into real involvement.
