Only thing that worries me is the wide areas especially the left side with Hector and Draxler doubling up there. I remember Conte playing 4-1-4-1 to counter that problem against Real not sure he is ready to make such a big change now but it did work pretty well for us last season against Bayern.

De Rossi is huge for italy. No two ways about it.

Sure, Sturaro will cover the steel, but thats not the thing.


De Rossi is playing very well as both defensive and offensive controller, and his passing is exceptionally important. Motta is better defensively, but twice now when Motta replaced DDR, you can see Italy beeing forced back cause they lose much of their vertical penetration.


I do hope they can recover DDR, or have him play with an injection.

No Candreva for Germany. I heard on the radio this morning that he may only have a shot at returning if we make it all the way to the final, even that is iffy though

Sturaro-Parolo-Giacch midfield wont be good vs Germany i think. Also their main strenght is their wings. id give them the ball and try to counter attack, best chance at winning

he's the best holding mid we have besides De Rossi. he actually can hold on to the ball and has a decent build up play.
