Well that's arguably Belgium's best team (at least from midfield forward) against a weakened Italy (from midfield forward).

The short answer is no, Italy can pick better players, but ultimately Conte picks whoever he wants. Maybe it's this underdog routine, backs to the wall spirit that he has to keep going.

When it comes to the tournament we'll see how that works, because he'll be brave (hypothetically) not picking the likes of Berardi or Insigne because perhaps they aren't as ingratiated as other players in the squad.

Buffon; Darmian, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Sciglio; Verratti, De Rossi, Marchisio; Berardi (Candreva), Insigne, Pellè - nothing wrong with that team, Conte loves his big CF and Pellè has done well for him.

Yeah that defending was putrid and he stupidly put the ball out for the corner too. He is in shit form at the moment.

Chiellini just owned Lukaku with a perfect sliding tackle when he was through on goal...more like that please.

Beautiful tribute at the 39th min for Heysel victims :touched:

3-1 for Belgium now...Italy were unlucky when Eder hit the crossbar at 1-1, but Belgium have totally dominated this half and are deservedly winning.

show me one qualifier in which it was a convincing game or showed this team actually stands a chance in the euros. No fighting though Salvo
They qualified first in the end. Look I'm not saying its a good squad but Italy has always been atrocious at games that don't matter and playing against "weaker" opposition.

Dude, Belgium is number one on the ranking. They also have players who hardly reach the bench but would walk right into that Italy team. How the fuck are we weaker than Italy? Talentwise we are a whole other category than them right now and they even say so themselves.

I didn't say that they are the weaker team, I was just making a point that Italy never play well in perceived pointless games.

i so want him to resign and then blame it on the lack of cooperation from italian clubs with not setting more international breaks
