Osvaldo doesn't belong anywhere near the azzurri uniform. I must say that I think his attitude may be because of the time he spends with Totti. Don't get me wrong Totti is fantastic, but his attitude is terrible. I never thought of him as a great leader like Del Piero, Maldini or J.Zanetti (just my opinion)

so where does that leave balotelli? :D
I like Osvaldo, but he shouldn't be our main striker for the Azzurri.

Balotelli is just too good. We can tolerate his shenanigans because he has undeniable talent to back himself up.

Osvaldo, while I do think he has talent, although nowhere near Balotelli, he does do some bizarre things sometimes. But he ain't as good as Balotelli to make you forget it. :D

Who's that RCM and the LB?

Squad looks nice. But as long as Prandelli is in charge, I can't see a 4-3-3. Maybe Insigne as a trequartista?

Oh yeah, Florenzi is really talented as well. I thought he played for Roma so the jersey threw me off.

Don't know much about Crescenzi though. I'll take your word for it. :D

I guess the future Azzurri won't be ItalJuve anymore. Unless Juventus go on a shopping spree. :weee:

Damn. That kid looks very promising.

Its funny that there is so many good young attackers, midfielders and fullbacks coming up for Italy...but we seem to be lacking in really good up and comin CBs and Goalkeepers (in this particular U/21 generation) give or take a few exceptions

Actually I rate Perin very highly, I've seen him since the U16/U17 sides and he is a real character of a keeper but also has sound technique on everything he does.

Bardi seems to have crept ahead of him for the Azzurrini because of his regular games with Livorno, but I think Perin may well be the one who catches the eye more.

Don't forget our own boy wonder:

I actually think this selection of young Azzurrini keepers is the best for a number of years.

When you consider the previous U21 tournament selections:

2009: Consigli, Sirigu, Seculin
2007: Curci, Viviano, Consigli
2006: Agliardi, Mirante, Curci
2004: Amelia, Agliardi, Zotti

Italy aren't doing such a bad job with keepers.

Yeah not a bad job, but I'd say from the 2004-2009 generation not one of those keepers has become very good or world class. A lot of solid keepers there yes, but gone are the days of the insane production line of Italian GKs.
