I absolutely love how Italy's defense and midfield, in the knockout stages, has so closely resembled Juve in a 4-3-3 this season. Winning the euros would be the ultimate testimony to the significance of Conte and all of his hard work this season.

I mean could you imagine playing Bonucci and Barzagli in the center, against Germany, 18 months ago? :eek:

Quality wise this Azzurri team isn't much different than the euro 2000 squad. Weaker in certain position, better in others. For example, this was the starting XI in the final in 2000

The Italy MF right now is defienetely better, but the Attacking players in that team were much much better than the current players, you got Fiore who was really good player, Totti is Totti, Montella is better than any attacker Italy have right now and you have Del piero coming from the bench.

I think the GK and the Defence is a wash.
