I counted 9 Slovenians who play in Italy in the squad called for this qualifier.
I guess that 6-7 will start the match (Handanovic, Bacinovic, Birsa, Ilicic, Cesar, Jokic, maybe Andjelkovic).

Edit: Actually, as I suspected, Birsa still isn't in Serie A. He only signed for Genoa but will join them in the summer. He's a very good player, one of their team leaders, so it surprised me when I saw that he's a Genoa player and I haven't seen him play for them.
Only Handanovic, Jokic and Cesar (alltough he has some problems with his nose) will surely start the match. Ilicic might start as a second forward. Bacinovic and Andjelkovic will be on the bench. Birsa is playing in France.

I guess..

Handanovic
Brecko - Cesar - Suler - Jokic
Birsa - Koren - Radosavljevic - Kirm
Matavz - Novakovic

But Matavz has some problems with injury and is not 100% fit so we might see Ilicic instead.

Anyway 3:1. :D

So much for Zahovic's boasts, Italy made Slovenia look like a mediocre side, did enough but deserved the win. I see some similarities with Donadoni's Italy in the way Prandelli has them playing but it's all about results, so far so good.

Fuck Zahovic. I don't mind supporting your team, and boosting confidence. But don't talk like a prick, and talk down on Italy (or any team for that matter) so much.

Well, he was proven wrong at least.

What if we had De Rossi or Balotelli in our squad?

If we did have De Rossi called up, would we take Montolivo, Mauri or Aquilani out?

Aquilani played horrendous tonight.

If Balotelli and De Rossi started then it was going to be a 4-3-3 imo, with Balotelli instead of Mauri and De Rossi instead of Aquilani. That way it was going to be a bit tougher and defensive midfield due to another striker's presence.

What's the problem with De Rossi? Why wasn't he called?
De Rossi elbowed a Shaqtar player in the CL and got banned for 3 games.
He was also excluded from the Azzurri squad because of this.

Balotelli was excluded because of being sent off in the Dynamo match. Prandelli said he talked with Balotelli and Balo apologized.

De Rossi was excluded for one match so he might be back for the Ukraine game on Tuesday, as for Balotelli I'm not so sure.
