I cannot believe the stupidity of these retarded Serbian fans....

it kinda reminded me of when Italy had a friendly against Serbia-Montenegro back in 2005 at the Skydome in Toronto. A Serbian fan light up a flare and then threw it from the stands (flares are a definite no-no in North America), and a few minutes later, a large group of Serbians were fighting each other in the crowd. It was ridiculous....

Onto this situation, I am very puzzled why the riot police didnt take some action, rather than just sit there and watch these fools run the place as if they owned it. The reason these things dont happen in the USA is because if some masked idiot decided to do what he did in the stands, he would get a well deserved BEAT-DOWN, as well as his other accomplices.

How far do you let this guy go before you do something ??? I know if he pulled that stunt where I live, the masked retard would be face down on the ground, with my size 11 boot on the back of his head, and he wouldnt be so tough then, now would he ???

The Italian police have a protocol where they have to ensure other fans safety first, plus there is nothing they can do if a guy is sitting up high on the barrier because of bs health and safety rules, new stuff that has been implimented. The Caribinieri are also quite loath to handing out big beat downs on international tv now because of events in the recent past, it just looks bad. In the 'quiet period' where there was no live pictures after the abandonment we don't know what happened, but he and others were arrested ultimately.

If we are talking about flares being lit and thrown, I have seen Balkan and east European fans light flares in English grounds, even English fans, ultimately if these guys want to get flares into a ground and throw them that will happen.

Fucking idiots, we all know what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot, it'll be interesting to see if UEFA have some balls.
You're not implying what I think you're implying here, are you?

The Serbian football federation is by far the most punished one in Europe (deservedly, though). Mostly due to political reasons they weren't allowed to join UEFA for ages, they were forced to play on neutral ground (during the bombing of Serbia in 1999 and afterwards) but also due to the problems the ultras created they were forced to play on empty stadiums and they were fined more than anyone else.

If Italian fans did what the Serbian fans did, I bet the punishment would have been less severe than it will be now for the Serbs. Not because it's Italy (it could have been Czech Republic or Austria), but because it's Serbia. The Serbs are doing it to themselves, so it's hard to feel sorry for them, but it can't be denied that they are the least popular team in UEFA.

Why are you shocked? Andy might be wrong about a lot of things when he talks about Azzurri fans, but there is an obvious tendency among them to act as victims, that Andy is right about :p
