Player selection is nowhere Venturas issue, infact his selections are really good for what he got, doesnt favour or disfavour anyone (except smartly dismissing Balotelli, and probably not even seeing Jorginho as italian). His trouble starts when you consider he is inept tactically for this level.

To those who say Italy has no chance in the World-Cup you are probably right with the current tactics used by Ventura , but if you do think about a fully fit Italy playing in the 4-3-3 that seems to be the most reliable giving the current roaster than we can really say Italy actually has a world class team and can really challenge for the WC or Euro's sooner or later!
