Giacch - Paolo - Sturaro
LOL, that is mid-table level in Serie A at best. And it held out Germany for 120 mins. I thought Parolo had a great game actually, played very well in the DM position. Sturaro was great in defence, but he is not a good ball player at all.

Italy will always be there or there abouts in International Tournaments.

fucking pelle idiot who does he think he is fucking totti
Definitely the worst penalty of the night, even worse than Zaza's. Fucking taunting Neuer suggesting a chip, turned out to be moment of pre-ejaculation. Dick.

Sturaro said he played with injury
Yea Conte mentioned this. Respect for that, coz he ran all through the game.

@Bianconero_Aus - As much as I didn't feel a thing for this Azzurri team (considering how they played in the qualification), I'm really emotionally done right now. It feels like a Juve final loss. Conte did an amazing job and I really enjoyed this Azzurri side (so did most people, for a change). Seeing the videos of Buffon is heartbreaking.

Same here. It actually hurts a lot more than I thought it would. One of the most likeable Italy teams I can remember. I can't watch those Buffon and Barzagli videos...too sad. Lets just hope we give these guys some joy in the CL this season.

Sad for Gigi and it was harsh, but i'm really proud of our Azzurri boys, they really made everyone proud with a great tournament.
No one thought this average squad and one of Azzurri weakest sides the Azzurri had will play that good and go far.

Conte really prepared them well, the heart, the fighting spirit and discipline were there, and really loved the team's display.
Well done, and fuck the penalties and fuck those horrible misses mostly by Zaza and Pelle.

Hopefully Ventura will have a good campaign.

Foza Azzurri!!

Anyone else think Belotti could lead Italy's frontline in the future? With Ventura , there could be a chance he could get some opportunities. I hope he is considering some younger guys as part of his setup very early.

If he performs in the next 2 seasons, I don't see why not, along with Berardi.

I highly doubt the likes of Pelle, Immobile and Zaza to be around for WC 2108.

Has Icardi represented Argentina yet? He should eligible for Italy, but don't think he wants to...

Conte did a great job. He created a world class unit.
But he did so with Italians. I think he will fail in England. You can't turn Cahill into Barzagli. Italian players are so schooled tactically and so convinced it might give them the edge that they can execute a plan perfectly. In a way, I think it was a victory of the entire Italian system not just Conte.
