There is no quality going forward. Zero. Zilch. Nada. What can he do? Put on El Shaarawy? Immobile? There is nothing.

If this Italy team had a fully fit Marchisio-De Rossi-Verratti midfield they would have been true contenders. Now, they were always going to come up short sooner or later. That they were able to make it go to penalties was a miracle imo.
