2009: USA 2, Spain 0

So what's your point?
The USA = underrated

The last world cup was a flop imo. They should have gone much further, they just need a consistent forwards, and a healthy holden, what happened to torres? he did good the few games before the world cup.

Torres is still with Pachuca. Not sure why he isn't getting called up. Perhaps he's injured.

We shouldn't be losing to Ghana twice. They're a good team, but they aren't vastly superior to us. Very frustrating.

Viviano

Maggio - Gastaldello - Chiellini - Criscito

Nocerino - Marchisio - Montolivo

Aquilani

Gilardino - Rossi

Hopefully Matri gets at least a half of football (and no injuries) That midfield looks a bit lightweight. And I'd rather see Astori in there over Gastaldello.

Apparently Italy have a friendly with Spain in Milan on the 11th of August. That will be a very interesting game.

^ Argentina in June, Spain in August. Those will be very exciting.

I would also want to see Astori in there rather than Gastaldello, and I like where Aquilani is positioned. I wish he was there against Slovenia rather than Mauri.

I wonder why Cassani isn't get a turn at right-back?

Cassani is injured ATM. I think it's between him and Maggio for the RB spot at Euro 2012. I reckon Abate should be looked at as well, he's improved big time at Milan this season.

Italy don't have many options at LB though. Only Balzaretti and Criscito. I don't consider Chiellini a LB anymore, and I doubt Prandelli will deploy him there again.

F*CK these games and f*ck this team post 2006 who didn't want Juve players play for them. No Juve players should of played for Italy after 2006. They should have took the WC, take the credit for winning it and desert the FIGC club.
