italy lacks dominating midfielders right now, so i think they should play a 4-2-3-1 formatioon:
-------------------Macheda----------------------
Balotelli---------G. Rossi----------Florenzi
-------------De Rossi---Marchisio-----------
Chiellini---Bonucci----Barzagli---De Sciglio
---------------------Buffon------------------------

macheda should be given a chance, he's proven he's world class at man utd. Italy needs a strong front man and i think he's the only one right now with the qualities to spearhead their attack.

I actually say this comment on goal.com

that place never fails to amaze me

Italy has a problem and its the left side of defense. If we play Chielini there we probably lack the attacking input from the fullback. He hasn't been the same in defense after his injury plagued season either. Since we already wrap up the Serie A , hopefully we be more careful with him.

Buffon
De Sciglio ---------Barzagli--------------Chielini--------------X

Pirlo------DeRossi-----Monto

Candreva
Balo -----------Rossi

Italy, with a really shitty lineup, still managed to give Spain some problems. Spain's fitness levels were so much better than Italy's, though. If not the main core of players are worn out this summer, I can't see Italy not qualify for the knockout rounds.

That's something I've been wondering for a while. How is it possible that other nations, clubs from other nations like Germany, Spain, England always have better fitness level than Italians? I read that Giacherini said yesterday how his physical condition improved since moving to England, or something along the lines.

Maybe they're just trolling :beppe:
The main core of this team is Juve players and they have been playing constantly since Conte's arrival. Maybe that's the answer.
