Prandelli: 'We'll entertain you'
Sunday 5 September, 2010
Cesare Prandelli assures the Azzurri will become “more entertaining and have three strikers” as his tenure goes on.
The performance in a 2-1 victory away to Estonia was far from impressive, so more is expected when they welcome the Faroe Islands on Tuesday evening.

“In my view this Nazionale can give a lot more and over time it will also become an entertaining team to watch,” said the Coach.

“I am convinced that Andrea Pirlo, Riccardo Montolivo and Daniele De Rossi can guarantee both quality and quantity.

“If one of the three is locked down, the other two have to push up into the space, otherwise with just Antonio Cassano doing that it becomes difficult.

“I am certain that as time goes on they’ll understand these movements. The basic play is for three strikers, but it all depends on Cassano. He must to all intents and purposes become a support striker. If he understands those movements, he can become extraordinary.”

Prandelli is expected to make changes to his side for Tuesday’s second Euro 2012 qualifier.

Fabio Quagliarella replaces the disappointing Simone Pepe in the trident attack, as Giuseppe Rossi is not 100 per cent fit after picking up a knock in training.

Goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano could make his senior international debut, while full-backs Luca Antonelli and Lorenzo De Silvestri step in for Cristian Molinaro and Mattia Cassani.

It will be Prandelli’s first Italy match on home soil, but above all a return to the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence, where he spent the last five years.

“Playing at the Franchi will be a strong sensation. I bring so many wonderful memories tied to that bench and my experience with Fiorentina.”

But it's typical. The fans hate South Korea more than any other team.

And after 2002 and 2010, Korea seems like good competition for the Azzurri.

I thought they had rivalries with the big European teams mainly Germany and France because they have a history of playing them in big games.

Domenech and his comments (and some other comments back in 2006 from french camp) were the reason of the hatred from Italian side if there ever was any against France. Otherwise I can't see why Italians should hate France team more than Germany for example.
