Riva was the exact copy of Vieri : a tall, strong, left-footed center forward with an insatiable appetite for goals. However, unlike Vieri the mercenary who played for 9 different clubs in 9 years or so, the legendary Gigi spent his whole career at Cagliari, despite being the object of Juve, Milan and Inter's desire. He won them the domestic title in 1970, and is rightfully considered to be the greatest italian striker of the post WW 2 era.
