Here's another one. Yes, the old man needs his spectacles occasionally :D

PS. Sorry about the rotten quality - it's just webcam shots I took for fun. Didn't really look at the quality...

More intrigued by him. Ive only started to read philopshy for a year now, not much but I started along the lines of Freud, Darwin in detail (yes i know they arent philopshy) and basic readings of descartes, kierkegaard (however you spell it) aristotle and Plato. Nietzsche intrigued me the most because he had something to aspire for with his ideas. Others more critise life, but he somehow gives life a purpose with the ubermensch. He was the only philopshy that really made me go WOW, if you know what I mean.
I never got into actually reading their books. What I know about philosophers are what the teachers told me of.

Nietzsche is impressive. I remember discussing for ours on the theme of "the men killed God" after reading the passage with the man with the lantern in full light.

Descartes was great, but blew it up in the end. If I understood it right, he ended up by saying that the human being was just a machine. Still, he was the one that said Cogito Ergo Sum and thus entered " Le Siècle des Lumieres". Rousseau had a beautiful view too.
Aaaah, this makes me want to read again...

Oh. Don't forget Wittgenstein too. And Kant of course. Immanuel Kant

I wasnt a fan of Kant. I skimmed over him breifly to see if i wanted to read him in more detail, but he didnt really appeal to me. Nietzsche on the other hand, is a character. Living in Germany too, its good to know about him espacially after he influenced Hitler so much. Im also intrigued by his many ideas, such as ' wille zur macht ' and 'ubermensch '.

Well anyway, im 16 and im just trying to expand my mind into news ways of thinking really.

You have gained some weight Zlatan.

Yeah, I know. I have some plans for September and October, but starting from November I plan to get into some serious shape.

Is it the pencil? :D
And the glasses.

Zlatan, careful about the weight, you might reach a point of no return. I have friends who had.....they tried lots of things but still 'no return'

Yeah, I know. I was in bad shape last year too, but last summer I ran every day, around 7 kms, and got into pretty good shape. I plan to get around 73 or 74 kgs, I'm at around 80-82 now, 1.80 tall.

Well Z you look older than 19

And Dan. It's already great you're reading Nietzsche at 16. But the biggest danger of philosophy is to focalize on one philosopher only, always try to have an open mind.

Here's a pic of me, if I manage to upload it.
