I was confused by this too when I first came here. It's not a state, it's the north-eastern area of US and Massachusetts is part of it, so Boston's in both.
With the ever increasing population and animals and plants needed to feed them, and the ever increasing demands of commercialism to produce new goods, buildings, objects, I ask again: Is the world getting heavier?
In terms of orbital eccentricity, I don't know how small the number would be, like a grain of sand slowing your car down. There are other factors which make more of an impact, but those are tiny too.
