Kwadwo Asamoah has made an explosive start to life at Juventus since joining from Udinese in the summer.
The 23-year-old wasted little time in announcing his arrival on the scene, crowning his competitive debut with a sensational strike in the Bianconeri’s 4-2 Super Cup triumph over Napoli.
Initially recruited to provide competition for the central midfield trio of Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio, Asamoah found himself settling into a role on the left side of midfield – a position he feels more than comfortable in.
Speaking at a Juventus Club Doc fan evening in Rivara, Asamoah said: “The manager liked what he saw in that game and from there we’ve gone on in the same way. I’m prepared to play in any position.”
The Ghanaian’s strength and never-say-die attitude has instantly endeared him to the club’s supporters. He also possesses a keen eye for goal, recently displayed with a spectacular overhead kick in the 6-1 win over Pescara.
Commenting on the success, Asamoah added: “It was a good result, but it hasn’t changed anything as far as the dressing room atmosphere is concerned.
“We’ve begun well and taken many points from our start to the season, but there are still plenty of games to play and we need to hang in there, fighting all the way to the end.”
