Far from the reality of back then. We cant get the best players around without much effort as we could back then to replace the stars we sold. Not the same at all, now we would struggle to get a somewhat good player for the price we sould Arturo for, and thats pretty only if the richest clubs arent in for said player. In general we would get outpriced from the market, so when you have a world class player who will be incredibly hard to replace, in stature and quality, you hold on to him for dear life, anything else is foolish or accepting that you wont be competing for long.
