His technique always looked pretty calculated and deliberate, but now it seems that he is always on his heels when he plays. He makes a lot of passes leaning back, or stretching because he has not fully controlled the ball. That is a recipe for poor technique and pass accuracy. He shuffles around a bit more than he did before, but he has also played quite a lot of games for a recuperating player.
I still think he has psychological problems relating to his injury, those often last longer than the physical, but he has to get over it and have confidence in himself. Maybe get Bonucci's trainer to punch him in the stomach in his basement or something, because this guy is supposed to be El Guerrero, not El Geriátrico.
We owe him and will obviously give him another season as a starter to get himself back to his best, because his best is incredible, and the financial loss on him would be massive at this point.
