Insisting on playing him in a friendlies while he still isnt 100% is beyond ridiculous. Every time he aggravates his injury after these meaningless games and I am starting to believe there is some resentment towards Juve among their ranks. We seriously need to do something about it.

He has been very professional with an exceptionally great work ethic. Now he is partying and is out of form with our coach and director both publicly criticizing him.

Does Chile play an official game during this international break ? Cause if they do it would make sense. But withdrawing vidal without a good reason is only gonna cause anger from vidal and chile.

What we should do is make clear statements about us not wanting vidal a full friendly when he isnt recovered yet. AND THEN, when they breach it, we can withdraw

If i recall correctly, saf once went beserk on some NT coach who played one of his players for a full game when he requested not to do so, and got injured in the second half
They won't be playing any official games until the Copa America (in Chile) next year.

2 of those are going to be among the worlds best in a few years, the other one might.

Sadly PSG aren't as fucking stupid as the Luiz deal might suggest.

if he wants to leave (which i believe is bullshit) then i cant see someone offering us better than what i posted (age, potential, resale value). however, if Vidal wants to stay then i wouldnt sell him, even for 200M. i wouldnt even give him away for Ronaldo + Bale thats how much i value and respect this guy

We must be cautious with Vidal because in reality he is a World Class BTB midfielder. And we can't afford WC players from teams like Real and Barcelona, because we can't pay outrageous wages. If we are going to sell a World Class player like Vidal - we've got to bring World Class and I don't see us being able to afford it. So, the sale of Vidal will most probably mean that we'll loose a World Class player for money which we'll spend on two Udinese players...

In this case I will be very sad to see Vidal leaving the club because we won't be able to get such a decent player so easy. We'll probably pull out a liverpool move - sell Suarez and get Balotelli. :help:

Maybe if he drank a concentrate made from the sweat of Vidal's balls he'd magically develop the ability to replace Re Arturo in our midfield.
Verratti + Marquinhos + Lucas and we can talk
All three would herniate 2-3 lumbar intervertebral discs attempting to carry Vidal's bags.

Arturo is irreplaceable

The sad part would be to see him leave because of his knee and disciplinary issues. That, would be sad

Vidal and Pogba. Here we have two world class players that are young, cost us nothing and on low wages which is the most we could ever dream of. Apart from these two, we have about 3 world class players all of which are pretty old (Buffon, Barzagli, Pirlo) and four borderline world class players that are 30 (chiellini, tevez, llorente, licht). The younger players are average to above average (marchisio, asamoah, bonnuci, cacares) and so our future should be built around vidal and pogba. Everyone else is either retiring, about to decline or not worldclass.
Our situation is that our best players are either too old or are going to be sold and we will need to spend a lot to stay at the same level that we are at now let alone surpass it.

Can the projected increase in our profits and consequently in our purchasing power make up the losses of cheap world class players that we are about to lose old age? Will we be able to keep up with Roma whose core is a lot younger than ours? Lets look at Roma.

Roma are about to lose (within 2-3 years) De Sanctis, Maicon, Cole, Balzaretti, keita, borriello, totti and De Rossi to old age. By lose I mean either retirement or significant decline. Of all those players, Maicon, Cole, totti and De rossi are players that they rely on. De sanctis can be replaced for peanuts. Cole and Maicon will need some $$ to replace while Totti and De Rossi will be very expensive to replace.

On the other hand they have Iturbe, ljajic and Destro in attack two of which are very promising and with many years ahead of them. Roma's attack is safe for years to come. In midfield they have Florenzi, Pjanic, Strootman and Radja who are all young too. I think if Roma keeps performing at this level then Strootman and Pjanic will be their Vidal and Pogba... namely best two players that cost nothing and everyone wants. They'll be left with Radja, Florenzi and probably an old de-rossi which is better than what we'll have left.

In defense they'll have Castan, Manolas, and Astori which is not better than Bonnuci, old chiellini, and ogbonna. They'll be as screwed for fullback and goal keeper as we will be.

To conclude, in two to three years Roma will have a better squad than ours but we should have higher purchasing power. They have the better coach but we'll have more money. Our extra money will come from our superior profitability and from the fact that Pogba+Vidal should bring us much more cash than Pjanic and Strootman should bring Roma. We have much more key players to replace though.

I think it is very likely they will overcome us for a while until our transition is complete. My only hope is that someone snatches Garcia from their hands (PSG or something) and that will slow them down big time.

You assume that Roma will be able to hold on to all their stars in the future, AND adequately replace them again. Remains to be seen. And yeah, if they were to lose Garica, that would be a massive loss. He is the main reason they play so well.
