Shame that our best player is undergoing surgery Even more of a shame that it delights certain members around here to see him play in pain and go through such difficulties.

why are you such a dick, @Hustini?
Who does it delight? Such a dickish thing to enjoy.

Since we won the league already, I wonder if we will let him go get the surgery now so that he is ready for the WC. There is no point in playing him if hes half injured and ruin his chances at a good Tournament and give him good time to rest and recover.

I respect his decision to go for surgery and not play for us for the remainder of the season. I wish him all the success in his recovery to play in the WC.

Grande Arturo!

he said that he will play in the world cup, so if it's all really about "water in his knee" then it's simple procedure, not surgery at all, but if not....
It should just be a draining of the fluid. An actual Meniscal tear is a little worse, though also not the end of the world. As long as the Cruciate Ligaments are intact it should just be a minor operation.

If it is a more serious injury, I'm a little shocked that the club allowed him to play in that EL Semifinal. Somewhat disappointed also.

The midfielder has been carrying the problem for a number of weeks and is keen to resolve the problem prior to playing at the World Cup

Juventus and Chile star Arturo Vidal is considering surgery in a bid to cure a troublesome knee injury ahead of the World Cup.

The midfielder has been carrying the problem in recent weeks and with Juve having little to play for after sealing the Scudetto and being knocked out of the Europa League, Vidal could go under the knife before flying out to Brazil.

"The news is true," Chile's national doctor Giovanni Carcuro is quoted as saying by CalcioNews24. "The way things have unfolded has not been as good as we anticipated.

"On Tuesday his condition will be assessed once more, then we will make a final decision on what course of action to take.

"The problem is complex as it's a strong aggravation to his knee. It is a meniscal injury. Because of this we cannot make a decision lightly. We have to manage the situation well.

"His recovery has not been positive and the fact he played for 70 minutes the other day has not helped.

"The World Cup? I am not sure he will be at 100 per cent for the first match, but he is not at risk of missing the tournament.

"We need to see how the situation develops after the operation."

We better be $#@!ing positive there's nothing wrong with the ligaments while we're senselessly risking him.

My fear is that they think it's a minor meniscus issue and that he may require surgery but they're going to let him finish off the next couple games and then attend to the injury. But in the process they may be misdiagnosing the injury or he might injure something else.

It doesn't seem like he's gotten worse, or any additional injury has occurred, and it remains uncertain still if he needs surgery. It's strange that they still haven't been able to figure out what exactly is wrong with his knee aside from inflammation and fluid. The meniscus thing seems uncertain still. The likelihood is a minor operation, even to drain fluid, and hopefully it gets done soon.

This is all Conte's and Juventus Doc's fault, he should have stopped playing weeks ago.

There is no reason of why you should not rest a vital player when the weak ass league was won 10 rounds ago and no one cares about EL.

If he misses the WC I hope he takes the first offer to GTFO and Juve lose everything next year.

PS: FORZA DUKAC, you were telling the truth from the beginning.

if they operate him now or tomorrow on his meniscus... he will be able to play the WC... meniscus isn't that bad... i think it's the best injury to get IF you have to chose a knee injury
