It shouldn't matter where you play on the field, with the exception of the goalie, if any player moves to a different position on the field certain football basics should not deteriorate...and a big one is PASSING.

But hey, being in a new league gives one an excuse to fail at the basics.

No i don't blame cause i never saw him as a great passer as some of you do, playing LB or CB don't make you forget how to pass, Marchisio had his share of bad games but passing wise it's clear that he's superior to Vidal as evidence by all the games played this year.
You read my mind. :D

Where did anyone say that he's a great passer? We only stated that he's a better passer than Marchisio, we isn't too difficult as Marchisio is an average passer.

No, it doesn't make him forget how to pass but it puts him in unfamiliar situations.

A taste of your own medicine, perhaps? Abso-fucking-lutely.

As far as the second part. It's like you never read our posts. Today no one brought his name up except you boys. I was talking strictly about Vidal's below par performance.

Don't fall off the bandwagon.
Well I don't criticize Marchisio unfairly so no it's not my own medicine.

Ok stop lying because you're the one who originally brought up Marchisio today. I believe Deneb even pointed it out to you even.

then why use "but marchisio was playing out of position herp derp!!" excuse last season, which you were oh so fond of using and reminding us in his thread?

If Marchisio is average then Vidal is bad passer because as shown by all the games played till now Claudio is better and i love how Marchisio technique is underrated, his one of the most skilled players in our squad, i think only Del piero, Vuci, Pirlo are ahead of him and if you see the first goal he scored against Milan just look when he received the pass from Vidal he was running he stopped the ball to vucinic and moved to space expecting a return pass from Vuci ( wich he did get because Vucinic is an extremely talented player) It was beautiful. So when the haters highlight Vidal strength they should do the same for Marchiso as we :gsol: fanboys :gsol: do fo Vidal.

I'm beginning to think he might not be gay just a racial supremacist. His love for Marchisio be based upon his whiteness w/ blue eyes light brownish/blondish hair.
Suck
on
Yea the effort from outside the box where he nearly scored with a rocket to the bottom corner, with Abbiati rooted to the spot, was especially terrible. Not near as good as Marchisio's deflected clearance goal or his savable second that Abbiati dropped.
that.
This time the Cult brought up Marchisio. For the record.
Call me a liar again, Kyle.

His passing has not been as good as usual this season but that will improve as time passes.

He certainly was a decent passer at Bayer.

Nope.

Vidal didn't even play half the minutes Marchisio played anyway.

Marchisio had the highest passing completion percentage last season on our team, tied with Melo...remember, everyone's favorite midfielder?

Point?

tells you how good his passing is then when he is tied with melo.

also just because you can pass the ball backwards doesn't mean you are a great passer.

I know, Cheese...I know.

So, as it stands...according to the bandwagon:

1.) Vidal doesn't have to pass well playing out of position, that's a good excuse.
2.) Runs hard, works hard makes him the better player...because Marchisio doesn't run his ass off for 90 + mins every game so far this year. Ok.
3.) One REALLY close shot on goal constitutes as having a good game, coupled with hard work.
4.) Running hard/working hard/and DOMINATING MILANS MIDFIELD single handily, cuz no other midfielder we had had a good game, negates all the wasted possession one individual player had in one game.
5.) Playing in a new league is one reason why he is allowed to underachieve in Football 101.

Am I missing anything here?

Yet everyone here said Melo was our best midfielder and here you are belittling him based off of your distaste for Marchisio.

I am loving these arguments.

These Marchisio zombies need to be smitten with the wrath of ten thousand suns for entering this sacrosanct thread and feebly attempting to besmirch Vidal's hallowed name. Impudent peons.

First post had nothing to do with Vidal vs. Marchisio I was making fun of you.
...

Operation Name Drop: success

The name was said whether Vidal vs Marchisio or not, it was said to create a reaction. You succeeded so don't sit there denying it.
