Marcelo Salas has applauded Juventus’ swoop of fellow countryman Arturo Vidal. “He’s ideal,” the former striker noted.

Vidal will become only the second player from Chile to wear the Old Lady’s shirt after Salas’ injury hit spell in Turin from 2001-2003.

“He reminds me of Matias Almeyda for the ruthlessness which he displays on the pitch,” the ex-Lazio hitman noted.
