There is a report in a Chilean paper called La Tercera which says:-

LvG wants Vidal, the United board don't want to disappoint him, and Vidal and his agent are keen on the move taking place. United are still negotiating fees + players as swap deals etc.

Meanwhile, Sky are reporting that if an 'incredible' offer comes in for Vidal then Marotta would consider it but it's his intention not to sell.

In other words, it sounds like he's for sale at the right price and it may happen.

If an incredible offer came in then we would sell, nobody including Vidal is worth those types of money. But then again, every damn player not named Messi is available for an absurd transfer fee. That doesn't mean United are close to signing him.

And IF, and I mean IF United came in with a monster bid I'm pretty sure we'd give PSG a call as well and I'm pretty sure those guys would offer an even higher bid. And if the choice was Paris or Manchester, I'm pretty sure he'll be off to Paris.

But then Vidal won't want to leave for United or PSG and it will all be a waste of time for both clubs :D

Vidal thread locked on Redcafe, i think most of them have come to their senses now seeing as it's the same BS being reported by the same papers every day. Not one bit of solid info came out about this transfer yet 80% of that forum were convinced it was going to happen. :sergio:

They've locked the thread?

Even during our 800 page fap-fest of Aguero, Dzeko and others did we never have a thread locked :D

Poor souls, as I said in another thread, we should just make Isla grow a goatee and sport some more neck tattoos (and book a trip to a tanning salon) and tell them he's Vidal.

Of course we would consider an incredible offer, that goes for all of our players and never goes away. But so far the rumoured offers are derisory. People need to understand that £40m is not an incredible offer for a player like Vidal, it's what rich clubs offer for half as talented players.

Just seen this:

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...r-Juventus-ACCEPT-32m-plus-Patrice-Evra-offer

Worst source ever and surely not true but slightly worrying all the same.

Just This:
to offer £32m and Patrice Evra
You think that their washed up captain and 32 Euro is worth th hassle of losing our most important and emblematic onfield player?. Not to mention the uproar it will cause not only with our fans, but i imagine the relation between Conte and the board would get also a little rought.

Just Conte alone would do whatever in his power to block the deal. Signing players like Morata and Iturbe to compete, but on the other hand losing Vidal or Pogba makes zero, ZERO sense.

sport journalists are the worst scum of the world

Their whole job is to invent bullshit rumours and spread them like it's the word of God. Pathetic thing to do for a living.

£50m for David Luiz. That has set a precedent now IMO. The club would surely consider £60m offer if it came in. And rightly so. But I highly doubt United would offer that.

Well if they think that they can offer us peanuts because we are in Serie A, they are sooooo wrong.

If Vidal was for real madrid...ManU would be forced to present bids around the 70M euro or starters. So if they want to tempt us for a sale at the very least...i expect an offer like that or GTFO.

Sure. I guess it depends what you define as an incredible offer. The highest amount I've seen reported that Juve want is 60m euros. The lowest I've seen reported in 32m pounds which is 40m euros. I guess the clubs will haggle for something in between.

Last summer, when Chelsea wanted Rooney, United stated clearly that he wasn't for sale at any price. Juve could have done that publicly already, but they haven't yet. That just encourages rumours like these.

The other rumour is that Vidal is especially keen to come to Manchester United, and not somewhere like Real Madrid. Obviously, just a rumour that may be rubbish. I have no idea how attractive PSG may be to him, and of course they could offer more money but they've already splashed 50m on David Luiz and have some FFP restrictions put on them (which they may decide to ignore completely).

The other thing helping English teams is that the pounds to euros conversion is very healthy right now. That may influence the market this summer.
