money is great and all, but when you are not a selling club, you have to look at reasons why you would want to sell.

-player not happy (more often than not this is the main reason)
-offer is good enough that you can replace player sold with other players for same value/lower value.

now you might say that 50 million is god enough to land us a striker and another mid. you have to name names. cavani? napoli will want all of 50 million, then some. same will happen for jovetic or other high profile players.

then you have to replace vidal himself.

these issues would apply to all the important first team players

That's bullshit but even if true I wouldn't even consider selling him. Not now that we are 1-2 players away from having a top team in every department.

If you aim for the top you keep your best players and add more quality to the team if necessary, not pull an Arsenal.

For the sake of being the devils lawyer here:

Remember how we built that insanely strong team we had pre calciopoli? The sale of Zidane :D

Thats the only way that we could consider his deprture..... a zidanesque type of business..... and even then...we also need to remember that zidane left us because he was terrimad about us losing CL finals...and he wanted a team that could finally win his CL throphy.

Vidal seems happy to be here.
