I'm really curious as to what'll happen to this guy. Will he stay under Motta be re-born or will he go and if so, how much will we make off him?
With how expensive he is on our books and his okay performances last season on loan, I think he at least goes to training camp and Motta sees what can happen. Especially if we aren't fully reinforced in the midfield. We're already paying him at that point.

But I do think he is being loaned out again and hopefully with a obligation under certain conditions like 50% play time or something. Fiorentina should've made it permanent imo. He actually wasn't that bad for them. It wasn't cheap but I'm sure we would've negotiated it downward just to be done with him.

If no one is willing to buy him we may as well keep him because we need bodies and he fits Motta with his ability to keep possession. He had a good season for Fiorentina though, so hopefully someone will buy him.

His book value is too high and his salary is too high for him to be a squad player
Needs to be sold this summer tbh, might be our only chance to actually cash in as he is coming off a decent season with Fiorentina and is currently fit, which might not always be the case.

We'll be willing to sell for anything above 14.4m euro (we signed him for 72m on a 5 year contract, so 14.4m euro per year). But, unless he signed a new contract with us that I'm not aware of, this is the last year of his contract, and I guess that teams will prefer to get him on loan. I too doubt that we want to pay his salary (4.5m euro per year?).
I don't see him in Juve next year. I also don't see a team paying more than 14m euro for someone like him with a year on his contract. Hopefully the latter will happen, but tough chance. A new loan is most probable.

According to transfermarkt he currently has 2years left on his contract, due to expire in June 2026, so this would probably be our best chance to maximize a direct sell but more essentially we might just as well be open to taking into consideration another loan plus obligation instead.

We definitely signed him until the end of June 2025 https://www.juventus.com/en/news/articles/official-arthur-pjanic-agreements-with-fc-barcelona

But fuck my life if he signed a new contract until 2026.

#Arthur - #Everton something more than a survey. The former midfielder #Fiorentina is not part of the project #Juventus not only for technical but also economic reasons. The #Juventus will not deprive itself of Enzo #Barrenechea if not for an indispensable offer

Remember that Arthur’s book value is EU22m. We need that amount to avoid a loss. Another option is a loan with obligation to buy at 10-15m. His market value according to transfermkt is 15m.

The other big issue is that his net wage was 4.5m that can go up to 9m including easy to achieve bonuses. Fiorentina was only paying him 2.5m net with Juventus paying the rest. That is also a stumbling block.
