I know I know, who cares about David Beckham?!?! but I found this article on TimesofIndia.com:

LONDON: Aware that England soccer captain David Beckham is keen to quit Real Madrid and return to England, reportedly because of paparazzi harassment, the British soccer club Arsenal has expressed an interest to hire his services as a player.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been quoted by the Daily Mail as saying that he is concerned about the way his team have lost ground in the race for the premiership and Europe, and therefore wants to sign Shaun Wright-Phillips, the Manchester United talented winger, or if he is not available, then Beckham as a viable alternative.

Beckham has already revealed that he may leave Spain because of paparazzi harassment of his sons, Brooklyn and Romeo.

If Arsenal could agree to the right financial package, Beckham could find himself back on English soil after his nearly two-year-long Spanish hiatus.

On Sunday, Beckham revealed that he missed the competitive spirit of English football.

With two years left on his Madrid deal, Beckham will look for a four-year contract to take him to 2009, when he expects to retire.

According to sources close to Wenger, he would consider a move for Beckham – but only if he agrees to a pay cut from his current salary of 100,000 pounds a week.

Beckham couldn't cut it in Spain, so he's gonna move back to England.

Arsenal? Hmm that's rather strange. Perhaps a Becks-Vieira swap on the cards?

And yeah SWP is sure playing for United.

Beckham is the last player Arsenal should get. The only thing he's good at would be useless to them, because apart from Campbell, they can't head for shit

i think Becks still has a lot to offer if he is used as a pure right winger. at Real, he hasnt been used proparly and i believe its affected him. but arsenal would have to get a lethal striker who sits in the box because becks on the right means plenty of crosses and its pointless if he has nothing to cross to.
