ever heard that song about the gum trees and plum trees with a sheep or two and a kangaroo? :D

lets see pics!
Yep, the pics are coming hopefully soon, when i get my internet connection up again.

Wow, I didn't realise that song crossed international borders  That song is packed with Australian culture:

Home Among the Gum Trees

I’ve been around the world
A couple of times, or maybe more,
I’ve seen the sights, I’ve had delights
On ev’ry foreign shore,
But when my friends all ask me
The place that I adore,
I tell them right away.

Give me a home among the gum trees,
With lots of plum trees,
A sheep or two, a kangaroo.
A clothesline out the back,
Verandah out the front
And an old rocking chair.

You can see me in the kitchen
Cooking up a roast,
Or vegemite on toast,
Just you and me, a cup of tea.
Later on, we’ll settle down,
And mull up on the porch
And watch the possums play.

Give me a home among the gum trees,
With lots of plum trees,
A sheep or two, a kangaroo.
A clothesline out the back,
Verandah out the front
And an old rocking chair.

There’s a Safeway on the corner
And a Woolworths down the street,
And a New World's just been opened
Where they regulate the heat,
But I’d trade them all tomorrow
For the simple bush retreat
Where the kookaburras call.

Give me a home among the gum trees,
With lots of plum trees,
A sheep or two, a kangaroo.
A clothesline out the back,
Verandah out the front
And an old rocking chair.

Some people like their houses
With fences all around,
Others live in mansions,
And some beneath the ground,
But me, I like the bush, you know,
With rabbits running round
And a pumpkin vine out the back.

Give me a home among the gum trees,
With lots of plum trees,
A sheep or two, a kangaroo.
A clothesline out the back,
Verandah out the front
And an old rocking chair.

---------------------

Feel free to ask me what any of the words in that song mean :)

I'm happy because I can finally come back online after three whole days of having no access to the internet.

My reason for having no 'net is a good one though.

I'm happy :D because my new house is great :thumb:, and I have the best room in the house :extatic:. I've got a verandah and my room faces west (nice sunset views ;)). I'll post some pics and say some more when i get connected at home :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I know i'm late, but that's because i haven't been here... but btw Majed, NICE WORK
i'm glad you like your new house!! ;)

cause some time ago we were supposed to move house and we were looking for a new one so i had seen 100000 houses and i didn't like any of them....
so we decided not to move!:D
cause i love my house and especially my room sooooo much!!
