i believe Buffon is really leaving us, and he'll 90% go to Inter , Milan or Man U.
So again, like we sold Zidane before, who will be a good replacement for Buffon?(don't say Buffon is the best and no one is up to his standrd....etc..), I think Frey, Kameni, Amelia are good gks, although they are not excellent gks like Buffon.
We should have a well mental and physical preparation to the exist of Buffon:cry:

Hopefully Buffon wouldn't leave, but if we needed a replacement then either Frey or Akinfeev.
ya, it'll not take too long time for Buffon to play in CL, just 1 year!!! he can definitely wait for 1 year!!! and we his girl friend (later will be his wife) is a Juventini, hope she can convince Buffon to stay!

I really hope Buffon doesn't leave...it would truly be a heartbreak.

We seem to be linked with Amelia although Milan or Inter could swoop him up in order to make it a more feasible trade for them to get Buffon.

Well - If Buffon leaves we'll have a big problem.

Ankifeev and Ustari are nice players.... IN FOOTBALL MANAGER - I doubt that many of you have seen them in action. I haven't so I don't know if they are worth buying.

Eeeeh - Cech? You can actually "buy" players from Chelsea :) Maybe when they have bought Buffon, Frey, Kameni and Kahn :D

I can't find a replacement - There are propably many goalkeepers who are "ok"- but no one as good as Buffon. So we'll have to settle with a standard goalkeeper... That's my oppinion...

Btw - If we can make a Ronaldo change with Man U - then no problem:agree:

We can't find a gk that's as good as Buffon, but i hope we'll use part of the selling $$ to buy 2-3 world-class DC. Plus we'll have a "ok" gk like Frey, Amelia, Kameni, i think this will minimize the effects of Buffon's leave .

If we can buy some great defenders, then we can do with a less good GK, but if our defence won't be strenghtened huge, we will have big problems if Buffon leaves.
It will also depend on were he goes, think about which teams will have the money to buy him?

Inter: He won't join them and if he does, probably Toldo will come our way.
AC: Doubt it, Dida has signed a new contract but if Buffon joins them, I see Abiatti or Dida coming our way.

Then, since I doubt he will join an italian team, we have to look outside Italy for the teams with the money:

Chelsea: they have Cech, who is a younger version of Gigi but just as talented and almost as good, don't think they will go for Buffon.
ManU: They don't spent that much on a gk and since VD Sar recently signed a new deal for one year, they won't be searching for a gk.
L'Pool: They have a nice budget, but with Reina, i don't think Benitez will go for an italian GK.
Real M: They have Casillas, i don't think they will sign a new GK.

That brings me to the only team i see Buffon going to:
Barcelona: Valdez isn't good enough for first GK and with Zambrotta maybe interested in coming back to Juve, I see this as the only destination for Gigi if he wants out.

And if Barca offers some big cash+Zambrotta, I think we can say we can live with the deal, at elast, I could.

Exactly. And selling buffon and replace him with cech is very silly. we can sell buffon with high price but we have to buy cech with more money that we get from buffon price. Except we swap buffon with cech. And also IMO buffon is better than cech.

True, but Cech would be a great replacement for Gigi IMO, the only GK that comes close to him so I wouldn't mind it that much since Cech has the age advantage.

Anyway. Chelsea won't do this so we shouldn't even think about this.

Doubt barca will feel gigi is worth that much, although the Ronaldinho we seen this season, sin't worth that much anymore as the one from last season.
haha, i know it's almost impossible to make a deal including Ronaldinho.:D
