Arabic Adverts.... (1 Viewer)

Kej, so i have just come back from The Gambia and i had a sick time, I was wondering if some of the people from the Middle East could help me out with something. In our hotel we had satellite tv with consisted of 15 arabic and 5 african channels. The arabic station that has been annoying both me and my girlfriend was Fox Movies. During the ad breaks there were various ones which just didnt make any sence because it was subtitles in Arabic and as such she has asked me to find out what the fuck they were about.

The first one was of a guy comming back from somewhere taking of his (i dont know what they are called) teatowel and pouring a glass of whiskey and then a blow torch is shown hitting the glass and it goes red, then he drinks it and a still comes up saying it was the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund iirc.

The second is you seing through someones eyes them coughing, then passing out and then waking up in hospital and all you can hear is their heartbeat, then the still comes up again.

The last one is of some guy walking around his grounds being chased by a lion then he throw a red box on the floor and the lion walks off.....


Can anyone help me out?

(i didnt spend my holiday watching tv, just caught the ads when it was on in the morning and evening)

I remember the third one. It is an advert for a Shmagh (The thing men from the Gulf countries wear on their head). When the lion gets near the man and scares him, he throws the box containing the shmagh. When the lion sees that he uses that type of shmagh, he respects him and doesn't think of eating him.

That is not convincing, but that is the idea of the advert.

I don't remember the other two ones. If you can bring their video, I may know them.

^^^^ that is what i was thinking when i saw it, i figured it was something to do with islamic law, they had another about smoking weed where they seemed to be saying that if you smoke weed you no longer care about money, friends or family and all you care about is getting your next fix, which seems a bit stupid imo.

no that wasnt my aim at all, i was just really confused about what the adverts meant as i cant read arabic dialects. I also didnt understand what the adverts could have to do about humanitarian fund. You're so pathetic.

I made this thread out of genuine confusion about some adverts i saw on holiday, i dont care which religion they were about, i just wanted to know what they were about, because they made no sence. I assume, Andy is it? has joined this to troll me because hes a conspiracy nut but i dont care about religion in context to the adverts and that wasnt the point of this thread, so stop being ignorant dicks and misreading stuff.

Just because i worked out that it might have something to do with islamic laws, doesnt mean i wanted to have a thread about slandering religion, doing that is far to easy and i can do it in the religious threads whenever i want, why would i do it in here?

May i also point out that i havent at any point called the adverts retarded, i called the one i saw about weed stupid, because it was a blatent lie. I have done nothing to induce or encourage a religious debate.

The connection with the weed ad, which i assume is what you mean by the 'other' ad, was made because it was produced by the lebanon humanitarian fund, and i was merely saying i didnt understand what business it was of a humanitarian fund to make ads about smoking weed or drinking alcohol, the cig's kind of makes sence.
