APPIAH is a good asset to the team. remember how he play the first 15 games of this season. His phisical strenght and capacity to play 90 minutes at high speed makes him special.

Is not fair to compare him with experienced star like pitbull.

but with one or two years experience, he will be a real stronghold for juve midfield. This is the kind of young players Moggi needs to bring to the team for the future.

At the start of the season, when we were killing everyone, I don't see anyone blaming Legro and Appiah. Its only that we're playing bad and many injjuries, pressure is on these new players!
Trust me, they will play better once our whole team starts playing well again
    cant agree more

What? Even at the expense of the current team?

He may be a player for the future, then why is he playing now? If you think he is a player for the future, how long do you think it will be before he is able to pass to someone on the same team? 2 or 3 seasons maybe? At least it gives us all something to look forward to.

I've been hearing Tacchinardi described as having great potential, I've been waiting about 6 or 7 seasons for him to attempt a pass that actually goes forward.

It sounds like some of you weren't around when we signed Thuram, Buffon and Nedved. Truth be told they were pretty shite in their first season and nobody expected much from them. Look at them now

IMO Appiah can be better than Tacchinardi for us if he trains hard and adjusts to the team a bit more. Tacchi can also put in some very lacklustre performances, and I'm pretty sick of his unnecessary clumsy tackles. Give him at least another season or two before making judgments.

As I've said so many times before, you can hardly expect new players to fit into a team straight away, especially when that team is playing shite compared its usual high standards

All I can say is, any player who is playing in the first 11 now, deserves to be judged now, on his current performance, not on how good he may be in a few years time.

I am not denying or arguing that Appiah doesn't have potential, I just don't think he's good enough at the moment, our midfield is shocking.

Everyone says Tacchi was great last season, that's most probably because he had Davids alongside him doing all the good stuff, this season has really exposed him and shown his quite limited capabilities.

Appiah would perhaps have done better with more quality around him, I just think however, if you need to rely on others to perform well, you shouldn't be in Juve's starting lineup.

    who else in the midfield?

conte is coming to an end.

it makes sense to play appiah, he is a very good player.

give him another season like others have and he will come very good, just like thuram and nedved did.

earlier in the season when the whole team was playing well appiah played very well.

dont criticise him in isolation, if at all.

hes definitely one for the future and will be in the midifeld with maresca as a partnership for years to come.

look i loved edgar, he had a great technique, efen better then zidane...but i cant forget his red cards in important games....

...and appiah has great technique abbilities too, and is mutch more fair by his tacklings...so i give him a chance!!!:cheesy:

Great, he's a more fair player...that's exactly what we need. He doesn't get any cards because he doesn't get any balls! He's supposed to be a defensive midfielder. The reason that Davids will always be better than Appiah is that Davids can win balls. Besides that, Davids is faster and has about ten times the offensive ability that Appiah does. Who cares if Appiah is younger...I mean, I'm younger than Nedved, but I suck compared to him.

u didnt saw him in a good shape, right? the only thing in the momnet is maybe hes a bit slower then davids....BESIDES THAT, i dont think davids has the better offensive ability... appiah wins a lot of balls and makes very great passes, + hes very , very athletic, an element we need man!!!APPIAH IS OUR STRONG MAN FOR THE FUTURE IN DEF MIDFIELD, trust me!

ps: we can find us maybe, that davids and appiah would be a great duo together, a shame they never played together!! snif, snif

i closed the chapter of davids(obvisouly he stay for life(like most of the off-transfered juventus players) a bianconeri and he will be in our heart forever. but i cant forgive him hes "i-wants-more-money-attitude" :greedy:after all what juventus gave him!!!! so i closed this chapter, edgar davids.

No way man. Blasi and Kapo are the future central midfielders. Maybe Brighi if he ever finds form.

Has it become a trend to critise Appiah here, have any of you actually seen him play more than one match? or is it just ok to say he is crap because everyone else do.
I think he will be one of the best midfielders in the world in the future, hope Juve have time to wait for him.
And by the way everyone seem to forget Tacchinardi, he has played horrible lately, much worse than Appiah.

Kapo? Really? Isnt he more of a winger/attacking midfielder type of player?

No one hates appiah because he is appiah!! He did not do anything good for juve this season. Even Legro had some DOWNS but at least he has some ups …..
I was glad to know that Appiah was going to play for us this season, but I saw nothing until now.. I am waiting for the day he settles and turns into a quality player
