I did not see many of his games so i cant really judge ;), but something i would like to notice.

I have a feeling that he is a "veron" type of a playmaker, in the sense that you have to build your game around him. Basically, you need him to perform in order for your team to perform too. From the moment Juve sold Zidane, Lippi's approach to the game is changed from having a magnificent player that creates a game for you, to the enire team working on it. Nedved is not as "creative" as Zidane or Ronaldinho, but he's sure as hell more efficient that either of them.

What i mean to say is that when you have a player like Ronaldinho in the team, you tend to become dependent on his play. I dont think that this would be something Juve wants.

Well, there's a first time for everything and I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one, John.

Ronaldinho is class. He's definitely one of the most creative, skillful, imaginative players in the world atm and Barcelona made a brilliant move by investing in his class. Whether he would succeed in Serie A is anyone's guess, but what's for sure is that he's going to tear up La Liga defences for years and years to come.

I don't really like him, and I was one of the people who was against his joining Juve, but I do have to concede that he's a fantastic footballer.
stu my old mucker.... i cant believe u didnt detect the sarcasm in my comments. :D I was joking, he is class...so as usual we agree...and yes i dont reallly like him either.:D

he's been doing great for barca. scoring goals like nobody's business. he's their no.1 playmaker right now.

wonder what riquelme's doing :D
Riquelme's putting in some adequate performances with Villareal. Not exaclty lighting it up...

Yeah, I think it's ironic that Cruijff insisted for years that Rivaldo should be sold because he disrupted a team, and then Barca go an replace him with another player of the same style!

Yes. But nedved is different player from Zizou. :)

Zizou is an artist.

Nedved is an executioner.

that wasnt really my point, we signed neddy as he was a practical player, and a player who would both attack and defend, which we suffered when we played zizou as he didnt defend, thus we defended and let him do his thang.

With neddy he will hep defend thus more practical and less reliant (in theory) as the whole team takes responsibility for attacking.

That's the main difference between Neddy and Zidane. The team lifts Zidane whereas Neddy lifts the team.

Ronaldinho left me gaping in front of the TV many times.

I prefer him in Barca than Brazil :D

So far I think he's doing great for Barcelona, that's good, but I doubt he'll ever come to Juve

Tacchinardi wouldn't exactly be a direct replacement. We'd probably be looking to replace a player like Di Vaio if we were to sign him (which we won't)
