Nocerino only played well in September and October. After that time span he really fell off a cliff. The guy doesn't seem to have any natural skill with the ball at his feet, loves to make rash tackles, but he does work hard. This player is never going to be a better player than Sissoko, so what's the big deal with Nocerino?

I still say give him and some cash to Napoli for Hamsik. Now there's a player we could use.

Hamsik is ok , but there a lot of better quality players out there .

He has the least skills required in a destroyer, he doesn't have to be a great passer or a world class dribbler. I agree that his performance has declined a bit, but not to the extent that makes us get rid of him. At the end, he has the right spirit to prove himself, and days will prove that. At least if he doesn't improve, he can make a good backup to Sissoko.

I haven't seen Hamsik a lot to judge him in fact, plus Napoli aren't going to sell him. They need to build their squad to be able to qualify to Europe next season.

I think Hamsik is great and certainly attainable for the right price. It's not like we can get Steven Gerrard here.

I'm not saying I want him to dribble like Messi or pass like Fabregas but he should at least give decent passes that a football player at a team like Juve would give . He's not terrible but still has a long way to go before we can call him a 'good' player .

You have a point here. I myself prefer Italians, we're an Italian team at the end. Nonetheless I'm with promoting our African youngsters like Daud Ayoub and Yobie Bassaoule.

He's Italian and half the people can't stand him . If he were Brazilian , they would stick Zambrottas up his ass every day . And night .

Like you said he lack all of them, he is far fram being ok at passing or dribbling.

And if you look at his good sides exempel running and win ball. I see many young players like Flamini and Sissoko example who are much better destroyers then him +they have other qualites that Nocerino doesen't so why play with Nocerino?

Marchisio for example is superior to Nocerino in all aspects in the game even as a ballwinner. Marchisio is smarter he may not run as much as Nocerino but he is standing correct and wins the ball fairly more then Nocerino does.

I don't see the great thing to win the ball when 9/10 results in a freekick as Nocerino does when he plays. Look at Sissoko he wins the ball fairly most of the time. And that is something that gives the team something.

IMO Noce is a useful player. Without the ball he does a lot of useful move. If a wingback stays in front of the opposite box then Noce runs back to cover the space. He run a lot and it's his first advantage.

But, with the ball he is dead. He can't do passes forward, only back. I think he is like Blasi but a bit better.

After all he would be a good back-up to Sissoko. With Zanetti, Noce can play well, he doesn't have to do important passes, only defend.

Nocerino To Join Palermo – Marino

Napoli transfer guru Pierpaolo Marino has given up hope of signing Juventus’ Antonio Nocerino, and says that he will be joining Palermo.

Nocerino has played more games this season for Juventus in Serie A than any other midfielder, however despite an excellent start to the campaign, he has largely struggled in 2008.

Following the arrival of Momo Sissoko from Liverpool in January, as well as the probable signing of another big name midfielder this summer, Nocerino is surplus to requirements in Turin.

Napoli have been interested in signing the 23-year-old, who was born in Naples, however the club’s sporting director says this will not happen.

“At Juventus I like Nocerino,” Marino told Tutttopsort.

“But I think there is nothing more to do – he will join Palermo.”

Napoli have made it clear that they will be making some big signings this summer as they attempt to break into the elite of Serie A.
Marino seemed to hint that Manuele Blasi and Marcelo Zalayeta, who joined on co-ownership deals from Juve last pre-season, may not stay.

"Blasi is always suspended, Zalayeta is injured: they have only satisfied us 50 per cent,” he stated. “We are still looking at youngsters from abroad: the club policy is clear.”

Not a smart comment by Marino. If Napoli make clear they don't want to keep them, chances are we'll get the players' halves back with a profit(they already paid to get half of the ownership) AND then we can sell them again.

If in the end he does want to keep them, he has to pay us a lot too.

Probably I'm a bit too harsh, but I think it's time for us to be realistic as well, the man can't really pass to save his life, and this is unacceptable in Juventus if you ask me.

For some reason I think that the reason behind this comment is to tell us, that Zala+Blasi aren't enough if we want to have Hamsik.
