Antonio Nocerino has enjoyed an excellent preseason for Juventus thus far, so much so that he is already being talked about as the second-coming of Gennaro Gattuso in some circles.
The 22-year-old is similar in style and stature to Milan's midfield destroyer, but refreshingly is level-headed enough to know that he still has much to learn before being truly deserving of that tag.
"Some people have noticed a physical resemblance to Gattuso but we are talking about a World Champion here. I still have a long way to go to reach his level," admitted Nocerino.
Despite his obvious admiration for 'Il Rino’, the Azzurrini starlet revealed that his midfield idol is actually AS Roma’s Daniele De Rossi.
"De Rossi is one of the most complete players around,” he explained. “He can defend as well as get into dangerous forward positions."
The Juventus youth product has spent the last four years learning the ropes at the likes of Messina and Piacenza, but is naturally delighted to be given the chance to be a bona fide Bianconeri.
