That non-eu rule will destroy us :(

I like and dislike the EU rule at the same time, like it because teams like Inter, Milano, Catania and Napoli sign so many south americans that serie a sometimes has more spanish/odd portuegese names than Italians. Could be something harmful for the league (you dont want another premier league)

Dislike because its bullshit and the majority of those south americans have got european ancestors/passports and the actual effect will be limited. Would've been better if it was limited to UEFA-nations. It's bullshit that someone's nationality has a influence if he can get transferred or not, I was told the other day the Turks have a 6+5 rule in their league, you need to have a certain amount of Turks playing. What kind of bullshit is that, keep nationality out of club football.

Hehe finally I leave the dream would and start being realistic. I have belied in this team for years and hoping with my heart that we wll soon become the old Juventus.

Now I realized that wont happen ( if something sick doesent happen, like Agnelli family start giving us money) So now I can lower my demands and see us for what we are atm.. a team who can compete with Napoli,Lazio,Roma for 3-4 places
what ive been trying to preach for so long yet all i get is constant bashing for saying that

the direction were headed in is very worrisome!!!

It's not the player I wanted, but please stop panicking. I'm pretty sure it will be only a loan and we will buy a better forward in the summer.

If this player joins I will not support him. I will not even acknowledge that he is in the team. What's the point in pissing money up against the wall to bring in someone of this calibre when we have players in our youth team who are much more worth of football with Juventus than this pile of wank.

Hell if we want to be that tight about money then I personally volunteer to go to Italy and play as a centre forward for Juve. In return I will pay the club £100 a game. You pay peanuts you get fucking monkeys....

Easy there, you may disagree with the move, he's becoming a Juve player and therefor you should support him. If it would actually mean that Amauri leaves , it's a nice short-term solution, both wont offer shit. Without a pretty good SS signing we rely on Del Piero for the season to carry this team, that's what I fear is a misjudgement by Marotta (again)

I've always supported all of our players, even if I haven't rated them. But this guy, I couldn't support. Some people deserve chances, they've shown glimmers of hope that make them reasonably attractive. This guy offers nothing, zilch, zero. He simply does not deserve to play top flight football, and he most definitely does not deserve to play it for us.

And if Amauri leaves it would make no difference, because we'll just have replaced shit with shit. This guy is 27 years old, and he's only scored 60 goals in his entire career. There is absolutely no reason to sign him, he has nothing going for him. I'd rather trust Gianetti, or buy an unknown quantity than a known shit player

Well, I agree with most of what you say except I don't rate Gianneti higher than him. He can be the backups-backup but Marotta is a fool for wanting him and Toni. One has had his chances and failed at Udinese and the other's tank is empty. Trust me now matter how you look at it we rely on Del Piero carrying this time for now.

That rule originally is in favour of smaller teams. The only way to compete with so called big teams is establish and rely on youth. If successful, big teams are forced to overpay for players with certain nationality because they are limited to buy from outside.

Personally to me FF is the dregs at the bottom of the barrel, so having to go somewhere else and actually pay a team to scrape the bottom of their barrel says a lot to me about our ambitions as a team - and this in particular is what I have a problem with...

The Toni transfer I can kind of understand and support, as he actually is an improvement on Amauri, so he can contribute. But Toni still really isn't the calibre of player we should be looking at

I can't rep you but when I can I will.
Its ok, ill rep you both.
    cheers guys!

    :agree:

Exactly. I agree completely. We cant wait until the summer. Right now we are a wounded beast, we've got massive holes in our squad, partly due to bad luck and injuries, and partly due to a lack of sensible transfer activity in the summer. Instead of operating on these gaping wounds we are trying to put plasters on them.

We've go not forwards, so instead of investing in someone that can improve the squad in the future we're looking at short term fixes that will be on the bench as soon as Iaq and Amauri return - this is not the way to progress as a club.
The fullbacks have been an issue since 2006, and I dont think the management have the foresight to actually address the issue at all considering we haven't been linked with a fullback at all for the last 5 years.

If we dont repair these holes now then we wont make the CL places, there is no doubt about that. If we dont make the CL then we wont be able to invest in the summer and it'll be years of considered investment until we get back in. If we invest wisely now on players that will actually improve the level of the squad as a whole (LB, RB, CF) our absolute worst case scenario will be that we miss out this year, but then already have solid foundations for next year... I hope we pull out of this deal and do the right thing

Guidolin: Floro Flores is a good player, unfortunatly I can't give him the space he deserves

His facebook got bombed with: Follow the example of Di Natale, stay at Udinese.
