I really wonder why Marotta didn't pull out one of his famous loan-with-an-option-to-buy deals. This one, in hindsight, is just screaming for that. It was relatively early in the transfer window at the time, too...what the hell was the rush? Lazio's interest? Lol. Even if they were pressing, big deal, Martinez isn't so exceptional to force his hand to make that sort of substantial investment. Well, apparently he was to Marotta...bleh. Still, I have some hopes for the player.
It seems like it's a done deal? Genoa have withdrawn from the race to sign him according to recent reports. Marotta has said something posetive about him? Loan with option to buy 5 million euros?

I don't know anything about Floro Flores, I've seen him play twice but I judged him with his goalscoring statistics, wasn't he the middle striker in the 4-3-3 by Udinese? How come Di Natale scored 30 and he doesnt come close to that

Udinese
2007-2008 A 37 3
2008-2009 A 33 7
2009-2010 A 32 9
2010-2011 A 12 3
If he could get 9-10 by the end of the season it would be bearable, but I don't see it. It also depends on Iaquinta getting 15, Del Piero 12, Amauri 1...
Poor Buffon, I remember when he was talking about him wanting the team to invest in some good talent. I wonder what he thinks when he sees all those average players arriving at Vinovo.
