If you give a Manager the right players he will do well.
WHAT makes you say that? How about if you give players the RIGHT coach? Or dont you expect any competence from coaches? He will do well just because of his chosen profession? Not because of his track record or wether he shown he is competent enough or not in handling the chosen task? Conte did badly in his brief tenure in Serie A, and has shown himself to be someone who promotes team from Serie B, but is that an accomplishment to care about? If it is, we should hire Novellino, done it like 5 times.

I'm not saying Conte is bad because his a rookie, but we DONT KNOW if he is remotely good enough, why should a top team who is doing disastrously hire a nobody to desperately get back up to where they belong? Not quickly, just IMPROVE whoever gradually, just stop regressing like we been doing. In a scenario like this, more then anything, requires a coach who has shown some competence, doesnt need to be 100% proven, but a promise for clear competence. That isnt true for just ANY manager just because of their profession, you actually have to pick a good one.

Summary: THIS APPOINTMENT IS A FUCKING DISASTER.

Conte isn't ready for a challenge like Juventus. Were going to be looking for a new coach by Christmas if they go through with this. And 1.5m? Jeez, Ranieri was paid less if I'm not mistaken. WTF are these people on? Villa Boas at least has something more concrete to show for his career. An EL final if people discount the Portuguese league. How can we as a club afford to take a chance on someone like Conte who doesn't have the experience, to manage the country's most successful team after two seasons of abject failure? This is a job for someone whose spent a little more time understanding personnel, their qualities, tactics etc, on a higher level than Serie B.

Villa Boas doesn't want to come to Juve, thats the deciding factor
