If Conte is our coach, then Marotta will be the one building the team. Conte doesn't have enough success and authority to tell the directors which players to buy and succeed in convincing Marotta.
Van Gaal would have been able to do it, Deschamps would have made a clear demand that unlike the last time he was a coach, now he wants more freedom in creating the team. Conte won't and can't do something like that.
considering the options, Conte is not a bad choice, in fact he is the best, (after Van Gal) unless there is a better coach AVAILABLE, Conte is OK.
I agree that we need a manager with great personality, one that can get the most of the players ability. but who's available??

if i remember right, Lippi never asked for a player, although the Triade was at the helm, although Lippi had a great team in general, but for sure we hardly had great players more than starting line-up. and there was weak points in the team.

the reasons for our disastrous season
1- The late mercato, panic buys, stupid selling
2- The players have no character
3- Del Neri,
the order means nothing, cause all of them are equally important

If the money is not exploited right, I will be very concerned more than if we get Conte or Van Gal

Man, I have a good feeling about Conte, no idea why.
I also have a good feeling about him

Pazienza would come on a free transfer.
are u kidding :snoop:

Pazienza for 20 M€?
c'mon Jack, Pazienza worth worth more than this

Nedved has balls, doesnt mean I want him to coach Juve, neither do I want a Serie B coach to be the one to be the one to be charged with the desperate improvements we need. This is all is so fucking depresssing, and so fucking predictable its actually scary.

I always loved him i'm just too scared of "Ferrara 2" scenario.
It was the same with Ferrara,we said that he knows what it takes, everyone respects him,he worked with Lippi and etc...we all know how it all ended...
I agree Conte has a little more expirience(he's coaching since 2005)but still don't find it enough while coaching Arrezzo,Bari or Siena...i just hope we wiil buy wise.

my confusion is that if Pirlo comes to Juve can he fit in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 employed by Conte? Pirlo has always played with 2 center mids along side of him that's where I have witnessed him infront of the defense.. Now, if pirlo does come wouldn't he be more useful in AVB formation of 4-3-3 than a 4-4-2/4-2-4 by Conte....

IMO if pirlo comes than AVB would be better suited with him as a player then Conte

Yeah, I don't see Pirlo being a success in a two-man midfield.

But then again, I don't expect thinking that logical when it comes to the combination of new manager and new players.

balls to demand signings from marotta ?

i dont know what the deal is with the marotta hate lately, but lets not forget he didnt had a budged last summer and created it by selling and cutting wages, and was DISALLOWED to buy a new forward in januari

marotta isnt financially backed by the board

and seriously, i have yet to see whats true about all those stories of 100-200 mil our holders were going to invest in us.

give marotta a chance, and a transfer budged
and fire del neri, useless ass
