Candreva's easily one of the best young attacking mids in Europe, a destined superstar. Can play left, right, middle, trequartista, you ask he will do it.

I called for him last few weeks when we were linked with incredibly lesser players at his position, this is bloody amazing news!!!

I would like him to see as a Regista in 4-3-1-2 or in place of Camo in 4-2-3-1 if he's so versatile.

Let's not over-rate the guy. He has had 4 months @ Livorno, a relegation battler! It's not like he has been playing in Serie A for 5 years!

Juventus are currently struggling, and it will take more than a promising player to turn that around. Is he strong mentally? Will he be able to cope with the expectations and pressure that accompanies playing for a team like Juve? Will our abysmal form, clueless coach, and lack of ideas affect him?

I shall reserve judgement on this guy until I see more of him.

This guy is amazing guys. The next Hamsik, if not better.
Totti/Lampard mix.
LOL...I was trying to rile members up with the Totti thing...you're right though. He is probably more like Lampard in the sense that he has a goal scoring eye:snoop:
I heard that he was a mix between Pirlo and De Rossi?
We're JOKING Tommy. :D
The best mix is between De Rossi and Totti. And he's even a Roma fan.
:D didnt see the Hamsik comparison above
 Osman, where are you?

Candreva to Juve "within week"
Tuesday 19 January, 2010
Antonio Candreva “could join Juventus by the end of the week,” so Livorno bring in Andrea Esposito and Claudio Bellucci.

Italian international midfielder Candreva is widely expected to complete his transfer to Juve in the next few days.

“There are talks, yes, but Livorno are also involved as they have the player on loan,” announced Udinese director general Sergio Gasparin.

“There are three clubs and the player to make happy in this situation and nothing is concluded yet.

“We’re trying to find a solution and I cannot go into details. We’ll see what happens in the end. If everyone makes a step forward to reach common ground, then the negotiations could be concluded by the end of the week.”

Candreva will leave his loan spell at Livorno six months early, as the Bianconeri are in advanced negotiations with Udinese, the club that owns his contract.

“Candreva will almost certainly leave, although the move will happen only if we receive an adequate replacement,” said Livorno director of sport Nelso Ricci.

The Amaranto wanted Sebastian Giovinco or Paolo De Ceglie on loan from Juventus, but the request was ruled out.

“There is always the option of having Marcelo Zalayeta, while an alternative is Francesco Ruopolo of Albinoleffe.

“We like Ferdinando Tissone of Sampdoria, but the negotiations with Zalayeta are on-going.”

Zalayeta is on loan to Bologna at the moment and owned by Juventus, so the Uruguayan striker is in a position to suit everyone.

Meanwhile, Livorno have officially announced the signing of Genoa defender Esposito on loan and the arrival of Sampdoria striker Bellucci is also imminent.

Varese starlet Alessandro Bernardini is another addition to the Stadio Picchi squad thanks to a co-ownership deal.

“With Esposito and Bernardini we have completed our defence,” added Ricci.

“This area of the side was reduced to the bare bones with Leonardo Miglionico’s serious injury and the continuing difficulties of Dario Knezevic  and Fabio Galante.

“We are looking to release Gaston Cellerino and Federico Dionisi, who have requests from Serie B.”

~I beat Dusan and Mark to it! :weee:

Yes. And a similar deal for Foggia at it'll be perfect.
Absolutely, a much needed wide player right there. Should interest us because he specialised in owning us a few seasons back.

I don't think anyone is overrating him so far, people have learned from the last 3 years it seems. The expectations much be pretty low now we're basically out of any real competitions though, and if it's a loan with an option to buy then there's a huge incentive to impress us. Fingers crossed for this one.
