Juventus have agreed a price with Udinese for 22-year-old midfielder Antonio Candreva, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Negotiations were taking place throughout yesterday and a deal was apparently struck whereby Candreva will join Juventus on loan until the end of the season for €500,000.
The Bianconeri will then have the option to buy Candreva in part-ownership for €7m in June.
Livorno, the Tuscan club who currently have Candreva on loan, will receive €300,000 in compensation.
If there are no more hiccups, the Italy international will sign for Juventus later today and start training with the squad in time for this weekend's clash with Roma.
Federico Pastorello, the player's agent, is believed to have negotiated terms, allowing Candreva to double his salary.
The Italy international will play at the heart of Juventus's three-man midfield with Diego ahead of him as a trequartista and Amauri and Alessandro Del Piero up front in a 4-3-1-2.

At the beginning of the season, he was Livorno's best player, and he started deep and went up with play. Against either Inter or Milan he had about 5 shots from outside the box, i can't remember if he scored, but i do recall that they were all on target, which will be an improvement to our current shots(non-existent).
The 7 million is high for half his contract, but have a feeling if he impresses Juventus enough, they will offer 10 million, and co-ownership of De Ceglie to Udinese.
But if the first few months of the season were anything to go on, he's pretty decent, and could work well next to two of Marchisio/Melo/Sissoko

Candreva is one of the best options available for the winter transfer window. And a loan with the option to buy is probably the best bet right now. Normally I think it would be wiser to bring in someone who's shown consistency for at least 1.5 to 2 seasons. Candreva hasn't really done that, but a loan move definitely can't hurt.
Yea, but it's bad enough buying average players. These guys only make it worse by buying them at inflated prices. And if the player flops we leave ourselves no room for profit margins incase the need for a sale arises. We were better off bringing Almiron back for these six months before making concrete decisions and strategizing with a new coach in June. Even if Candreva proves to be a success, nobody will pay more than the 14m (i.e the amount we'd be paying to entirely buy out his contract from Udinese). Anybody can buy a player in the mercato if they have the money. Secco's true competency must be measured by his ability to correctly value players and negotiate deals in the best interests of Juventus, and not pay whatever is asked for. That's a job anyone can do. Even the real Balboa.
